About Folly

Folly is a poetry webzine devoted to parody and satire, ranging from light and playful to deliciously snide. It's our opinion that satire and parody are neglected forms of poetry. That's hardly surprising, given how seriously the poetry world takes itself. Satire and parody have a way of bringing their targets down to earth; and there's no place for that in the lofty-lugubrious, misty-mystical world most Serious Poets prefer to inhabit.

Folly is a rinky-dink operation; we edit and maintain the site in our spare time. With luck, we'll get enough good submissions to put together a new issue every quarter. No guarantees, though. If our schedules are too hectic, or submissions are lagging, there may be a wait.
