Pied Pipers
Glory be to God for dabbling poets—
For versifiers who like to try their hand
And heart at some poetic gem:
A villanelle that strains to overflow its
Limits. Sonnets, perhaps, that show command
Of rhyme and prosody and apothegm.
All poets, then, published ones or not; —
In Poetry, in Dog Days Review, and
Self-published, too, if that's their stratagem.
Respected and rejected. All!—the lot.
Praise them.
